Does anyone have ADTPro working with the Apple IIe Compatibility Card? I know my cabling, mini DIN-8, USB adapters etc are all working as I have had ADTPro working on my Iic and IIgs. I can not for the life of me get it working on the IIe card. All I get is a "Waiting for Host" message on the IIe card and the ADTPro software on the new Mac telling me it is connected.

If someone has got it going what settings do you have for the serial card in the IIe control panel on the mac?

I'm guessing that ADTPro is expecting a 6551, not a Mac serial
environment...

Have you R'd TFM?

I have RTFM ;-) but maybe I have made a few incorrect assumptions.

1) I am not sure if the cable I am using is a serial or printer cable. If it works with ADTPro on my IIgs I was assuming it is the correct cable.
2) I have AppleTalk turned on but using the printer port so I assumed no conflict, I noticed in your screenshot you have nothing in the virtual Printer Port slot.

Are my assumptions correct?

It is very likely a null modem/printer cable then.

You most definitely don't want Appletalk to be turned on. It evens
says, "Next, ensure that AppleTalk is inactive." Really, truly - you
can't have Appletalk running.

Score: 50%. :-)

OK, I over-thought this one. I thought the AppleTalk off warning was just to stop people who didn't know any better from having it on and having it talking to the same port as ADTPRo is trying to.

AppleTalk is the Great Disruptor of anything that depends on tight
timing...

I am following the RTFM put I can not change the port speed with ADTPro on the Apple II. It is fixed at 115200 and the arrows don't change the speed. The disk isn't locked.

Great Scot, you're right. I've tried to save you from yourself a little
too hard. You can't change the baud rate to 19200... and you need to.
Please go and download the 1.2.7 zip, the last version that let you do
that, and pull the ADTPro-1.2.7.dsk disk image from it:

This worked a treat, albeit at 19600 rather than 115200 :-(

Thanks for your help.

Yep, that's the fastest you're going to get out of the LC card.

You're welcome, and thanks for sticking through it. I've updated the
code to re-enable the 19200 speed; that will be in the next update.

What versions, and and at what baud rates with those versions, have you
tried so far?

2.0.1 at 19200, worked fine at 115200 on my apple IIc, and 1.3.0 at 19200

What cabling (be as specific as you can) do you have in the setup that
works vs. the one that doesn't?

both are RX,TX,and ground only one is a 9 to 9 pin with a mac adapter on it, which I use to transfer macintosh disk images, the //c uses a Midi cable with its end cut off

That won't do. You'll want to follow the cable recipe here:
http://adtpro.sourceforge.net/connectionsserial.html#MiniDIN 8

Also take a look here:
