Summary:
Is it possible that there dwells in Netland some fanatical supporter of
Jay Ward/Bill Scott cartoons who remembers the Super-Chicken Theme in its
entirety? How about Tom Slick? George of the Jungle? Anyone who can help me out
here will earn my undying gratitude, and will probably be rewarded in the
Afterlife to boot. Thanks.

Bill, I jumped ahead and answered as soon as I heard your plea,
so if someone else answered just after me, I missed it.
Corrections are welcomed (subject to debate!).
SUPER CHICKEN
When you find yourself in danger
When you're threatened by a stranger
When it looks like you may take a lickin'
There is someone waiting who will hurry up and rescue you
Just CA-A-ALL for Super Chicken
Fred, if you're afraid you'll have to overlook it
Besides, you knew the job was dangerous when you took it
He will drink his super sauce
And throw the bad guys for a loss
And he will bring them in alive and kickin'
There is one thing you should learn
When there is no one else to turn to
CA-A-ALL for Super Chicken
CA-A-ALL for Super Chicken
GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE
George, George, George of the Jungle, strong as he can be
Watch out for that tree
George, George, George of the Jungle, lives a life that's free
Watch out for that tree
When he gets in a scrape he makes his escape
With the help of his friend, an ape named Ape
Then away he'll schlep on his elephant Shep
While Fella and Ursula stay in step
George, George, George of the Jungle, friend to you and me
Watch out for that tree
Watch out for that
Treeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
George, George, George of the Jungle, friend to you and me!
TOM SLICK
Tom Slick! Tom Slick!
Let me tell you why
He's the best of all good guys
Tom Slick! Tom Slick!
In the Thunderbolt Greaseslapper
He's on your tail
He won't quit because you know there's no such word as "fail" to
Tom Slick! Tom Slick!
(Now, who knows that missing word? One syllable....)

> I believe it was "Bella and Ursula", not "Fella and Ursula".
It was "Fella". This is a direct reference to the fact that George
always referred to Ursula as "Fella", because he thought she was a
man, didn't really know who she was or why she was living with him.
A quote to demonstrate (not absolutely verbatim), from an episode
where Ursula was kidnapped:
APE: George, you must rescue Ursula!
GEORGE: Who Ursula?
APE: Your mate!
GEORGE: You mean funny-lookin' fella who never shave?
I recall another episode where George insisted on calling her Max.
So who is "Bella" supposed to be? Ursula is Ursula; there was no one
in the series called Bella. (That double image of Ursula during the
theme song was merely a special effect: don't try and tell me that
Ursula had a twin named Bella! There is no evidence for it anywhere
in the series... although when it was first on TV I had a friend who
insisted Ursula was twins simply on the basis of the theme sequence.)
Therefore I submit that my version is more logically sound, and the
word is "Fella". QED
(I *did* say corrections would be subject to debate....)
> Sorry, don't know the unknown word.
DAMN! *SOMEONE* must! C'mon, where are you.....

The main thing that I remember about George was a scene that they continually
showed while waiting for commercials. George is in a tree waiting to swing
down and recuse Ape who is in jail. Ape takes out all kinds of measuring
tools and says to George:
Ape: A little to you left. Little to your right. O.K. Hold it! Now if
my calculations are correct, 98.2. O.K. Swing George.
George: Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah (yells and swings)
Ape: Or was it 98.6?
Geroge crashes into a tree.
Ape: Yes, 98.6.
Those were the days!

While we're on this subject, can anyone tell me the name of the ape
in George of the Jungle? One person's posting of the song said it
was "ape" but another person's posting had slightly different lyrics
that didn't give a name.
